ANALYSIS STABILITY OF PONTOONS
When it is not possible to complete a hydraulic constructions from the mainland, a floating platform is required. Such a platform, in the shape of a pontoon, can be used to carry out a number of constructional works, like instaling a sheet piled wall, placing a concrete pump, performing dredging works, and hoisting heavy construction elements.
Arthe Civil & Structure's hydraulic engineers developed a software application, in order to estimate which constructional works en loads requires which type of pontoon or barge.
The stability of pontoons are examined according to the applying line of sight for floating foundation materials, and according to the Regulations Investigation Ships on the Rhine (1995).
