On behalf of T&E Consult, Arthe Civil & Construct cooperated within a combination of contractors 'Spoortunnel Delft' (Strukton Betonbouw / Ballast Nedam), in order to realize a tender design. Within the combination's tender design team, Arthe Civil & Structure b.v. provided its geotechnical expertise. Arthe's geotechnical engineers produced the following elements for the tender design:
- Draw up a document with geotechnical reference points (geotechnical base for a tender design);
- Draw up a plan for additional geotechnical site and laboratory investigations;
- Estimation of the bursting risk for building pit floors and the necessity to pump water;
- Dimensioning foundation elements (piles and diaphragm walls);
- Examination of the stability of the diaphragm walls' groove;
- Examination of the influence on adjacencies during the excavation of building pits in the 'Phoenixstraat' street.
